The harder I pressed the gas the louder the sound. I was riding down the interstate this morning and had my cruise control set at 70mph. Generally speaking, vehicle owners tend to show more care for the engine in their vehicle s than they do for the transmission. Buy a 24 inch battery cable and a 40 inch cable both with open ends for putting on bolts. No leaking of steering parts visible. ! First, I got barrels of parts that fail on these with no warning what so ever. My question is, is there a curtain part of the harness or wiring that could be bad that causes it to shut off, and what part would that be, can it be repaired instead of replacing the whole harness and wires? No one ever sits on the passenger side so its not coming from boots! Checked for flash program updates - all controllers were up-to-date.
I would love to be able to check these things before paying big bucks for a new grounding strap. If I were in your shoes, I would change the tranny fluid and filter first. Replacing a speed sensor is easy. These diagrams tell you where the grounds are for all the components. Flushed transmission to see if problem could be corrected. You first need to try to track down where the noise is originating, and the most likely place is at the front of the engine. What seems to be the issue? It can not be disabled.
Clean the grounds for the solenoid! My 2009 had the bad bearing and exhibited a noticeable whine, the bearing was replaced under warranty at around 72,000 miles and the whining ceased. Since it may be difficult, or time-consuming, to determine the source of a fluid leak, the best approach is to check all your fluid levels at your earliest opportunity and top off any that are low. I would probably drive it until the tranny died, since the repair cost will probably be the same. Red, Lt green, yellow, dark green, brown, dark blue, white, black. .
This will probably not be your problem red wires the main issues are regrounding the engine and firewall and the connectors at the solenoid on the transmission. Noise better but still can be heard. The noise did not stop until the next morning when the car was completely cool, but started again when it heated up. Even if the whining noise sounds similar to that in the video, it can still be possible that the issue is caused by something else. Slipping can occur at all speeds but is normally felt the most when taking off from a stop and when traveling uphill.

It seemed to fix the problem for a couple of miles, then it started doing the same thing again. I wishfully thought it was the belt tensioner or idler pulley. There is a switch which is activated when the gear selector of a vehicle is moved into the 'reverse' position. I had just serviced the transmission with a filter and oil change and then pressure washed the outside. All had the radiators removed. Transmission now operates very smoothly.
There are no other problems, problem with front end seems to be fixed. Should we just continue to drive it this way or go to another shop? The 3 red wires is really 1 red flow through with another red kind of glued to it. Worse, now the door ajar chime keeps ringing and all the park and instrument panel lights flash. Note: Fluid leaks can lead to more costly repairs and are one of the top causes of vehicle fires. It is seriously causing trouble, at times shutting the engine off at startup, cycling the auto door locks and making entry into the driver's door a problem. This seal is located right at the point where the cv-axle enters the transaxle.
I am going to test the whole thing out tomarrow, by removing the ground strap. You still have forward motion. Small town dealer just did not get in a hurry. Its always best to feel comfortable with your mechanics choice of these noises. But I can't be sure. Been in limp mode ever since. I posted this here a couple months back.
Is this something to worry about? You know i wrote chrysler a letter telling them about the problems on our 97 voyager the transmission was slipping and asked them if there was any thing they can do to help beeing that so many people where having problems with trannys and they said there was nothing they could do. For now, shifting is acceptable. Because they where having the Same problem. It was caused by the fuel pump. The vehicle owner replaced the battery, but an abnormal noise recurred a few days later.
