In order to do this, the three head to Colombia, the most ecologically diverse country on earth, where they elect to do most of their wildlife photography from cars they've picked for the purpose with Clarkson in a Jeep Wrangler, Hammond in a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up and May crammed into a tiny Fiat Panda 4x4. Equipped with two run down cars, a motorcycle, and questionable wits, the guys invent ingenious methods of food transportation across the country. Naturally, their contrasting approaches to buying suitable cars are matched by their contrasting attitudes to photography, none of which are conventional nor especially effective since animals initially prove to be absent or just very good at hiding, leading the hosts on an epic and increasingly challenging trip across one of the most stunning and fascinating countries on earth.
